The Shift
Our Packing Monday to Thursday shift is full time hours (40) condensed into 4 days and meaning you’ll have Friday to Sunday off!
Working hours
- Monday-Thursday 7.30am -5.30pm
About The Role
As a packing team member, you will be:
- Using the speciality equipment to help identify and remove dishes that don’t meet the Bigham standards
- Carefully measuring and adding toppings to finish off our dishes and make them extraordinary.
- Re-filling our packing machines with new carboard sleeves or boxes
- Accurately stacking boxed dishes onto pallets and moving any filled pallets into logistics
- Maintaining high hygiene levels and keeping a tidy workspace
- Maintaining food preparation records and logs
- Carrying out effective and accurate shift handovers
- Flagging any issues with the equipment within your area
- Work as part of a fast paced team towards the completion of the daily plan
What you’ll need
At Bigham’s we pride ourselves in doing things the right way and showing real care and attention. We are looking for like-minded people who demonstrate:
- The ability to work with various technology including packing and quality check machinery, so computer literacy is important. Previous experience in a machinist-based role is desirable but not essential
- High attention to detail and a strong quality focus
- The ability to repetitively lift 20kg boxes
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- The ability to learn how to use existing and newly introduced packing equipment
- A positive approach to work
- A desire to develop their skills and work as part of a team
